Stockholm Rose Designs was a passion project that started when I was 21, all the way back in 2015. I had just moved to Sweden from England to be with my boyfriend at the time, and found myself at a loss of what to do. I had freshly graduated with a BSc in Wildlife Conservation and had hoped to maybe study more or get a job in that field but the universe had other plans it felt like! I got quite sick shortly after moving and while recovering, found comfort in watching goldsmiths on youtube. I resolved that once i got better I'd go to London to do an intensive course on jewellery making, and that's exactly what I did. I then got to work designing and making anything I could think of, it completely took over my life, and here i am 9 years down the line and couldn't be more grateful that past me managed all that!
Now, all these years later, I have completed an apprenticeship at a high-end brand and worked there as a goldsmith for a short while before realising that it was fruitless fighting the urge to run my own brand again. I learned so much from my almost 3 years working there, my skills have boomed, my knowledge of the industry is tenfold what it was and I really took myself out of my comfort zone.
I now have ideas rattling around my brain that I can't wait to put out into the world. And all that to say, I'm excited to be back.
